Saint Figarland Garling is the strongest known God’s Knight in One Piece because he commanded the organization, fought during the God Valley Incident and later received enough authority from Imu to become one of the Five Elders. King Harald and Figarland Shamrock follow him, although several members have not revealed their complete powers.
This ranking includes current and former God’s Knights revealed in the manga. It evaluates their natural strength, weapons, Devil Fruits, Haki, regeneration, completed combat feats and organizational positions.
Canon cutoff: This article is updated through the official English release of One Piece Chapter 1188 on July 13, 2026. Chapter 1189 leaks and unconfirmed fan translations are excluded.
Spoiler warning: Major spoilers for the Elbaph Arc and God Valley flashbacks follow.
Who Is the Strongest God’s Knight in One Piece?

Figarland Garling is the strongest confirmed God’s Knight because he served as the group’s Supreme Commander before becoming one of the Five Elders. His promotion does not provide a complete combat measurement, but it places him above every active Knight in authority, experience and demonstrated importance to Imu.
King Harald has the strongest physical profile among the revealed former members. Figarland Shamrock is the strongest active member based on his command position, Cerberus sword and ability to confront Loki.
How We Ranked the God’s Knights
- Confirmed combat feats: Completed actions against identifiable opponents receive the most weight.
- Haki and physical power: Strength, speed, durability and confirmed Haki applications are considered.
- Devil Fruit or weapon: Offensive range, versatility and known weaknesses affect placement.
- Regeneration: Covenant-linked recovery increases survivability but does not automatically prove superior attack power.
- Leadership position: Rank provides supporting evidence when direct combat information is limited.
- Evidence quality: Manga-confirmed information receives more weight than reputation, silhouettes and predictions.
Gunko is ranked using her own body and Arrow-Arrow Fruit. Power displayed while Imu directly controls her is identified separately because it cannot automatically be credited to Gunko.
Strongest One Piece God’s Knights: Quick Ranking
| Rank | God’s Knight | Status | Primary advantage | Evidence level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Figarland Garling | Former Supreme Commander | Experience, authority and Elder promotion | High |
| 2 | King Harald | Former member | Ancient Giant strength and Haki | High |
| 3 | Figarland Shamrock | Commander | Cerberus sword and leadership | Medium-high |
| 4 | Satchels Maffey | Historical member | Regeneration and mouth-based beam | Medium |
| 5 | Manmayer Gunko | Active member | Arrow-Arrow Fruit and regeneration | High |
| 6 | Rimoshifu Killingham | Active member | Mythical Zoan and dream manifestations | High |
| 7 | Shepherd Sommers | Active member | Thorn-creating Devil Fruit | High |
| 8 | Manmayer Gurou | Historical member | God Valley-era experience | Low |
8. Saint Manmayer Gurou
Manmayer Gurou ranks eighth because his status as a God’s Knight is confirmed, but the manga has not revealed enough of his fighting style to place him above members with demonstrated abilities.
Gurou belonged to the Manmayer Family and operated as a Knight during an earlier generation. His presence establishes that Gunko’s connection to the organization extends through her biological family.
Serving during a dangerous historical period implies experience. However, experience cannot replace identifiable combat feats, Haki demonstrations or a confirmed Devil Fruit.
Why he ranks below Sommers: Gurou may have possessed greater strength than currently known, but Sommers has displayed a named Devil Fruit, regeneration and direct Elbaph combat.
7. Saint Shepherd Sommers
Shepherd Sommers ranks seventh because his thorn-producing power provides wide-area restraint, environmental control and protection against direct physical contact.
Sommers can generate and control dangerous thorny growths. The ability allows him to bind targets and make approaching him physically hazardous.
He also benefits from the supernatural recovery associated with the God’s Knights. Conventional injuries are therefore insufficient to remove him permanently while that regeneration remains active.
Sommers was still overwhelmed by opponents capable of bypassing or overpowering his battlefield control. His performance against Scopper Gaban also exposed the difference between regeneration and complete combat superiority.
Why he ranks below Killingham: Sommers has a reliable restraint ability, but Killingham possesses a Mythical Zoan body and can create multiple threats through dreams.
6. Saint Rimoshifu Killingham
Rimoshifu Killingham ranks sixth because his Mythical Zoan transformation combines an enhanced body with the ability to place targets into sleep and turn their fears into physical threats.
His Dragon-Dragon Fruit, Model: Qilin provides a mythical transformation with improved mobility and physical attributes. Killingham can also influence dreams and produce nightmare-based creatures.
This makes him more dangerous than a straightforward close-range fighter. He can disrupt groups, create confusion and force opponents to fight manifestations connected to their own fears.
His Elbaph performance revealed an important limitation. Powerful opponents can still damage, restrain or reduce his body despite his regenerative protection. Immortality keeps him alive, but it does not stop him from temporarily losing a battle.
Why he ranks below Gunko: Killingham has the more complex large-scale ability, while Gunko has displayed greater speed, precision and direct success against powerful individual targets.
5. Saint Manmayer Gunko
Gunko ranks fifth because the Arrow-Arrow Fruit gives her exceptional movement, restraint and piercing power, supported by the God’s Knights’ regenerative ability.
Gunko can generate arrow-shaped bands, redirect their paths and use them as platforms. This allows her to attack from unusual angles while controlling her movement through the air.
Her attacks restrained Loki and threatened several characters during the Elbaph mission. She also demonstrated enough precision to control the battlefield without depending entirely on physical strength.
Gunko becomes substantially more dangerous when Imu possesses her. However, weapons, commands and transformations created directly by Imu are not treated as Gunko’s independent power in this ranking.
This distinction prevents the ranking from treating Gunko as equal to Imu. Her natural abilities remain powerful, but her highest destructive showings occurred when another entity controlled her body.
Why she ranks below Maffey: Gunko has clearer modern feats, but Maffey’s God Valley-era battle experience and destructive beam give her a narrowly higher estimated combat ceiling.
4. Saint Satchels Maffey
Satchels Maffey ranks fourth because she combines God Valley-era experience, regenerative survival and a powerful mouth-based energy attack.
Maffey was active during the God Valley Incident, placing her in the same battlefield as some of the strongest pirates and Marines of that era. Surviving such an event provides meaningful context, although it does not establish that she equalled its greatest fighters.
Her ranged beam gives her direct destructive power beyond the restraint-focused abilities used by Gunko and Sommers. She also benefits from the recovery granted to high-level World Government enforcers.
Maffey’s exact species, Devil Fruit status and complete technique set remain unconfirmed. She therefore cannot rank above characters with clearer authority or greater demonstrated physical power.
Why she ranks below Shamrock: Maffey has more historical combat exposure, but Shamrock currently commands the organization and possesses the more thoroughly demonstrated supernatural weapon.
3. Saint Figarland Shamrock
Figarland Shamrock ranks third because he commands the current God’s Knights and wields a sword connected to a Cerberus transformation.
Shamrock is Garling’s son and Shanks’ twin brother. Their relationship does not prove equal strength, but it establishes that Shamrock comes from one of the story’s most important combat bloodlines.
His sword can manifest Cerberus characteristics, giving Shamrock access to a living or transformed weapon with multiple attack options. The weapon was dangerous enough to threaten Loki while he remained restrained.
Shamrock’s position as commander indicates that the World Government trusts him to direct the other Knights. However, he has not completed a full battle against an unrestricted Emperor-level opponent.
Why he ranks below Harald: Shamrock has the stronger supernatural weapon and current authority, while Harald possesses the greater confirmed physical scale and more extensive high-level Haki evidence.
2. King Harald
King Harald ranks second because he combined the natural strength of an Elbaph giant with elite combat experience and power acknowledged by the World Government.
Harald was not a conventional World Noble born in Mary Geoise. His relationship with the organization demonstrates that the World Government was prepared to grant special status when controlling Elbaph could advance its military objectives.
As Elbaph’s king, Harald possessed physical strength beyond ordinary human fighters. The Giants already have exceptional size, lifespan and military reputation, while Harald stood above his country’s normal warriors.
His story also provides evidence that a fighter can resist the World Government’s control under specific emotional and Haki-related circumstances. That resistance makes him particularly important when evaluating the weaknesses of Imu’s covenants.
Why he ranks below Garling: Harald may have held greater raw physical power, but Garling possessed more organizational authority, longer service and enough value to be promoted into Imu’s highest ruling circle.
1. Saint Figarland Garling
Figarland Garling is the strongest known God’s Knight because he led the organization before becoming one of the Five Elders.
Garling participated in the God Valley Incident and remained an influential World Government combatant for decades. He later possessed the authority to judge other Celestial Dragons, demonstrating a status beyond an ordinary Knight.
After Saint Jaygarcia Saturn’s removal, Imu selected Garling as the new Warrior God of Science and Defence. The appointment confirms that Garling was trusted with greater authority and supernatural access than his former subordinates.
His complete transformation, Haki level and post-promotion abilities remain partly unrevealed. Even with those uncertainties, no other confirmed Knight combines his leadership history, longevity, political authority and proximity to Imu.
Garling also stands among the highest-ranked fighters in AnimeCrisp’s guide to the strongest One Piece characters.
Is Gunko Stronger Than Shamrock?

Shamrock is currently ranked above Gunko because he commands the God’s Knights and possesses the Cerberus sword, while Gunko’s highest-level performance depended on Imu possessing her body.
Gunko has more completed modern combat actions. This gives her the stronger evidence base for speed and battlefield precision. Shamrock still receives the higher placement because of his command position and implied combat ceiling.
Does Imu’s Possession Make Gunko the Strongest Knight?
Imu’s possession makes Gunko’s body the most dangerous Knight-linked vessel, but it does not make Gunko independently stronger than Garling, Harald or Shamrock.
The distinction matters because Imu supplies the controlling will and additional power. Ranking all possessed actions as Gunko’s own would produce a misleading comparison.
Are the God’s Knights Immortal?
The God’s Knights can regenerate from otherwise fatal injuries through their connection to Imu, but the manga has shown that they can still be damaged, restrained and temporarily defeated.
Powerful Haki appears capable of interfering with their recovery. Their regeneration may also depend on the covenant or supernatural connection that grants it.
This means immortality should not be interpreted as automatic victory. An opponent can still remove a Knight from active combat or potentially disrupt the source of the regeneration.
Current Members vs Former Members

| Rimoshifu Killingham | Current Knight | Active |
