Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom, is the strongest female character in One Piece based on her Emperor status, advanced Haki, extraordinary durability, Soul-Soul Fruit and decades of proven combat power. Boa Hancock and Yamato follow her, but neither has matched Big Mom’s complete combination of physical strength, endurance and destructive range.
This ranking compares confirmed combat feats rather than popularity, appearance or narrative importance. It includes pirates, Marines, revolutionaries, artificial humans and other women whose powers have been demonstrated in the manga or its direct anime adaptation.
Spoiler warning: This ranking contains spoilers through the Egghead Arc and discusses character abilities, battles and transformations.
Who Is the Strongest Female Character in One Piece?
Big Mom is the strongest female One Piece character because she possesses Emperor-level physical power, all three forms of Haki, exceptional durability and a Devil Fruit capable of creating independent elemental weapons.
Boa Hancock has a more dangerous instant-win ability against vulnerable opponents, while Yamato has demonstrated better direct combat feats against Kaido. Neither has shown Big Mom’s complete record of power, endurance, territory control and sustained battle performance.
How We Ranked the Strongest Women in One Piece
Each character was evaluated using six power-scaling criteria:
- Confirmed combat feats: What the character has accomplished against known opponents.
- Haki: Confirmed use, mastery and advanced applications of Haki.
- Devil Fruit power: Offensive range, versatility, awakening and matchup advantages.
- Physical ability: Strength, speed, durability, stamina and recovery.
- Battlefield influence: The number and quality of opponents the character can control or defeat.
- Reliability of evidence: Completed feats receive more weight than titles, reputation or predicted potential.
Bounties provide supporting context, but they do not determine the ranking. A bounty can reflect political danger, knowledge, criminal activity and influence in addition to personal combat strength.

| 11 | Vinsmoke Reiju | Germa 66 | Genetic enhancements and poison | 7.6/10 |
| 12 | Black Maria | Beasts Pirates | Ancient Zoan and battlefield traps | 7.5/10 |
| 13 | Nami | Straw Hat Pirates | Zeus-enhanced lightning | 7.3/10 |
| 14 | Belo Betty | Revolutionary Army | Morale and physical power enhancement | 7.1/10 |
| 15 | Perona | Thriller Bark Pirates | Emotion-based incapacitation | 7.0/10 |
15. Perona
Perona earns fifteenth place because her Hollow-Hollow Fruit can incapacitate opponents who are physically much stronger than she is. Her Negative Hollows drain a target’s confidence and motivation after passing through the body.
She can also produce explosive hollows, project her spirit outside her body and fly while using that projection. These abilities make her difficult to fight without prior knowledge.
Perona remains at the bottom because her physical body becomes vulnerable while she projects her spirit. Her power also failed against Usopp because his naturally negative mindset left the hollows with nothing to suppress.
Why she ranks below Belo Betty: Perona has a stronger one-on-one matchup ability, but Betty can influence an entire battlefield and strengthen multiple allies simultaneously.
14. Belo Betty
Belo Betty ranks fourteenth because the Pump-Pump Fruit can awaken courage and increase the physical power of large groups of people. This makes her especially valuable during revolutions, public uprisings and battles involving multiple allies.
Betty serves as the commander of the Revolutionary Army’s East Army. Her position supports her authority and experience, although a military title alone does not prove that she can defeat the characters ranked above her.
Her main limitation is dependence on other people. The Pump-Pump Fruit is more effective when Betty has allies or civilians available to empower. Her individual offensive abilities remain less established.
Why she ranks below Nami: Betty provides superior group support, but Nami has demonstrated a more reliable personal finishing attack through Zeus.
13. Nami
Nami ranks thirteenth because Zeus gives her enough lightning power to damage durable New World opponents from a safe distance. Her Clima-Tact also produces weather effects, mirages and electrical attacks.
Nami’s greatest strength is tactical intelligence. She studies environmental conditions, misdirects opponents and waits for an opportunity to release a decisive attack. Zeus can also adjust his movement to help an attack follow its target.
Her physical durability prevents her from ranking higher. Nami can survive significant punishment, but she lacks the defensive Haki, enhanced body and Zoan resilience possessed by several women above her.
Why she ranks below Black Maria: Nami has greater long-range destructive potential, but Black Maria possesses superior physical strength, endurance and close-range control.
12. Black Maria
Black Maria earns twelfth place through her Ancient Zoan transformation, physical strength, webs, poison and control of enclosed battlefields. She was one of the Tobiroppo, the Beasts Pirates’ strongest officers outside the All-Stars.
Her Rosamygale Grauvogeli Devil Fruit allows her to transform into an ancient spider. She combines this transformation with traps, illusions, fire and close-range weapons.
Black Maria forced Robin to reveal Demonio Fleur, which indicates that ordinary grappling techniques were not sufficient to finish the fight. However, her defeat also demonstrated that she could not match Robin’s strongest physical technique.
Why she ranks below Reiju: Black Maria controls a prepared environment effectively, while Reiju has better mobility, genetic durability and a dangerous poison-based matchup advantage.
11. Vinsmoke Reiju
Vinsmoke Reiju ranks eleventh because Germa’s genetic modifications give her enhanced strength, speed, durability and resistance beyond normal human limits.
Reiju can ingest and neutralize poison that would incapacitate or kill other characters. Her Raid Suit adds protection and aerial mobility, while her poison attacks make prolonged close combat dangerous.
She remains outside the top ten because her complete combat ceiling has not been demonstrated against an elite New World opponent. Her abilities are dangerous, but the characters above her have clearer high-level feats or more difficult powers to counter.
Why she ranks below Ulti: Reiju is more versatile, but Ulti has shown greater direct durability and physical aggression against powerful opponents.
10. Ulti
Ulti enters the top ten because her Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit gives her exceptional physical power, recovery and durability. Her headbutts combine her natural aggression with the strength of a Pachycephalosaurus transformation.
Ulti briefly clashed with Luffy, overpowered Nami and Usopp, and continued moving after receiving attacks from several opponents. Big Mom’s Maser Cannon caused severe damage, but even that did not immediately end her participation in the battle.
Her fighting style is direct and predictable. She relies heavily on physical force, which leaves her vulnerable to opponents with superior range, restraint techniques or unusual Devil Fruit effects.
Why she ranks below Robin: Ulti has superior durability, but Robin’s limb-based restraints and Demonio Fleur provide a clearer method of controlling and finishing a humanoid opponent.
9. Nico Robin
Nico Robin ranks ninth because the Flower-Flower Fruit allows her to restrain, disarm and attack opponents from multiple directions without approaching them normally.
Her victory over Black Maria established that Robin can defeat a high-ranking Ancient Zoan user. Demonio Fleur creates a giant demonic form capable of applying enough force to break Black Maria’s body and end their fight.
Robin is especially effective against ordinary humanoid fighters because she can grow limbs directly on or around their bodies. However, damage to her created limbs can affect her real body, and physically overwhelming an elite Haki user remains difficult.
Why she ranks below Catarina Devon: Robin has better completed solo feats, but Devon’s Mythical Zoan, criminal reputation and position among Blackbeard’s Titanic Captains indicate a higher combat ceiling.
Robin’s intelligence and contribution to the larger story also help make her one of the best One Piece characters, although narrative value is separate from combat strength.
8. Catarina Devon
Catarina Devon ranks eighth because she is a Level 6 Impel Down survivor, a Titanic Captain and the user of a rare Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit.
The Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Nine-Tailed Fox allows Devon to transform into other people. This power supports infiltration, deception and surprise attacks, particularly when combined with the Blackbeard Pirates’ planning.
Her reputation as a dangerous female prisoner supports a high ranking, but her direct battle record remains limited. She therefore cannot be placed above characters with clearer offensive and defensive demonstrations.
Why she ranks below Jewelry Bonney: Devon may eventually prove stronger, but Bonney has displayed a broader set of usable transformations and more direct on-panel combat applications.
7. Jewelry Bonney
Jewelry Bonney ranks seventh because the Age-Age Fruit can alter her body, change other people’s ages and access temporary distorted futures.
Bonney can turn opponents into children or elderly versions of themselves after making contact. She can also imagine possible futures and temporarily transform her own body to reflect those outcomes.
This creates significant matchup uncertainty. An opponent who allows Bonney to touch them may lose the physical condition required to continue fighting effectively.
Her transformations have time and stamina limitations. Their effectiveness can also depend on Bonney’s belief in the future she imagines, making her power less consistent than the abilities of the top six.
Why she ranks below Stussy: Bonney possesses greater raw potential, while Stussy has more refined speed, professional combat training and reliable disabling tactics.
6. Stussy
Stussy earns sixth place because she combines CP0 training, Rokushiki techniques, high speed, seastone equipment and an ability capable of rendering strong opponents unconscious.
She incapacitated Kaku and Lucci by using surprise, speed and preparation rather than trying to overpower them through a conventional exchange. This demonstrates the difference between combat effectiveness and raw destructive strength.
Stussy is a clone connected to Buckingham Stussy of the Rocks Pirates. Her artificial origin may contribute to her unusual abilities, but not every part of her physical design has been fully explained.
She remains below Smoothie because deception and surprise contributed substantially to her best feat. Her performance does not confirm that she could defeat an elite commander in a prolonged direct fight.
5. Charlotte Smoothie
Charlotte Smoothie ranks fifth because she is a Sweet Commander with a 932 million berry bounty and a Devil Fruit that converts absorbed liquid into greater size and power.
The Wring-Wring Fruit allows Smoothie to extract liquid from people and objects. She can use the absorbed liquid to enlarge her body and produce powerful sword attacks.
Her position within the Big Mom Pirates establishes that she ranked among the crew’s strongest officers. However, she has fewer completed battles than Cracker or Katakuri, making her exact upper limit uncertain.
Why she ranks below S-Snake: Smoothie has more experience and leadership authority, but S-Snake combines an exceptional instant-win ability with Lunarian defence and Seraphim enhancements.
4. S-Snake
S-Snake ranks fourth because she combines Boa Hancock’s petrification power, Lunarian durability, Seraphim enhancements and Pacifista weapon technology.
Like Hancock, S-Snake can petrify targets whose emotional response activates the copied Love-Love Fruit. Her childlike appearance produces affection and lowered defences rather than relying only on romantic attraction.
The flame on her back provides extraordinary defence. When the flame is extinguished, Lunarian physiology exchanges some of that durability for greater speed.
S-Snake stays below Yamato because she is still a developing weapon with limited independent battle experience. Yamato has demonstrated advanced Haki and sustained combat against an Emperor.
3. Yamato
Yamato ranks third after using Advanced Conqueror’s Haki and a Mythical Zoan transformation to fight Kaido without immediately being defeated.
The Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Okuchi-no-Makami gives Yamato an enhanced body, defensive ice, ranged attacks and a powerful hybrid form. Yamato also uses Armament, Observation and Conqueror’s Haki.
Holding Kaido back until Luffy returned is one of the strongest direct combat feats achieved by any woman outside Big Mom. Yamato could not defeat Kaido, but surviving the exchange required elite durability and Haki.
Why Yamato ranks below Boa Hancock: Yamato has the stronger conventional battle record. Hancock ranks higher because her petrification can end fights without overcoming an opponent’s full durability, while her Haki and physical abilities remain elite.
2. Boa Hancock
Boa Hancock ranks second because the Love-Love Fruit provides one of the series’ most dangerous instant-defeat effects, supported by all three forms of Haki and exceptional physical skill.
Hancock can petrify targets through emotional attraction and turn objects or body parts to stone through direct attacks. Her power affected most of Blackbeard’s invading force, including powerful officers.
Blackbeard acknowledged that releasing Hancock could allow her to petrify him. This does not prove she is physically stronger than Blackbeard, but it confirms that her Devil Fruit threatens opponents far above the average commander level.
She also possesses Conqueror’s Haki and displayed enough physical power to destroy Pacifista units during the Marineford conflict.
Why she ranks below Big Mom: Hancock has a better instant-win condition, but Big Mom has superior confirmed durability, endurance, destructive range and advanced Haki feats.
1. Big Mom
Big Mom ranks as the strongest female character in One Piece because she combines Emperor-level Haki, natural physical power, extreme durability and the versatile Soul-Soul Fruit.
Charlotte Linlin possessed unnatural strength from childhood. As an adult, she became one of the Four Emperors and controlled a large pirate territory through personal power, family alliances and an extensive crew.
Her homies provide multiple forms of elemental offence. Prometheus supplies fire, Hera produces lightning, and Napoleon becomes a transforming weapon. Big Mom can also sacrifice part of her lifespan to increase her own size and strength.
During the raid on Onigashima, Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid required awakened Devil Fruit techniques, repeated combined attacks and environmental removal to take her off the battlefield. They did not defeat her through a simple physical knockout.
Big Mom also clashed with Kaido and possesses all three forms of Haki, including the ability to coat attacks with Conqueror’s Haki.
No other woman has demonstrated the same combination of Haki, endurance, large-scale destruction and decades of Emperor-level authority. That complete record makes Big Mom the defensible number-one choice.

Big Mom vs Boa Hancock: Who Is Stronger?

Big Mom is stronger overall, but Boa Hancock possesses a Devil Fruit that can make a direct matchup more complicated than their physical statistics suggest.
| Category | Big Mom | Boa Hancock |
|---|---|---|
| Physical strength | Winner | Elite |
| Durability | Winner | Unclear upper limit |
| Haki | Advanced applications shown | All three types confirmed |
| Devil Fruit | Greater versatility | Better instant-win effect |
| Battle record | Winner | Strong but less extensive |
| Overall | Stronger | More dangerous matchup ability |
Hancock could create a dangerous opening if her petrification affects Big Mom. However, there is insufficient evidence to assume that this would happen before Big Mom overwhelms her with superior Haki, elemental attacks and physical force.
Is Boa Hancock Stronger Than Yamato?

Boa Hancock ranks slightly above Yamato because petrification gives her a more decisive victory condition, although Yamato has better confirmed feats against an Emperor.
Yamato is more proven in a direct battle involving advanced Conqueror’s Haki. Hancock is more dangerous in a neutral matchup because one successful petrifying attack could end the fight without requiring her to overpower Yamato physically.
This is the closest comparison in the top five. A ranking focused exclusively on completed physical feats could reasonably place Yamato second.
Is Robin Stronger Than Nami?
Robin is stronger than Nami in most direct fights because she can restrain an opponent immediately and has demonstrated greater close-range finishing power.
Nami can cause more widespread elemental damage through Zeus. She could defeat Robin if she maintains distance and lands a powerful lightning attack first. Robin gains the advantage if she can see Nami and create limbs around her before that attack is prepared.
Honorable Mentions
Vice Admiral Tsuru
Tsuru is a legendary Marine from the generation of Garp and Sengoku. Her experience and Wash-Wash Fruit make her important, but insufficient modern combat evidence prevents an accurate placement.
Vice Admiral Doll
Doll has demonstrated Armament Haki and significant physical power. She needs a longer completed battle against a named high-level opponent before entering the top fifteen.
Charlotte Compote
Compote is described as a notable member of the Charlotte family, but her fighting style and strongest abilities remain insufficiently demonstrated.
Kikunojo
Kikunojo is a skilled samurai capable of using advanced Armament Haki techniques associated with Wano. Her record places her below the strongest commanders and Tobiroppo-level fighters.
Carrot
Carrot’s Sulong transformation provides a major increase in speed and electrical power. Its dependence on the full moon makes it less reliable than the abilities used by the ranked characters.
